Finally!

I made it out of the house today, even though later than planned- I absolutely, totally, scandalously overslept. Woke at nine in the morning, looked out of the window and noticed that it was snowing. At one degrees. What a bummer! I had a look outside and noticed that the strong winds we have had the day before made the fleece on top of the lemon trees take off to neighbour's garden. Lemon trees are back in the conservatory now thanks to hubby. After a solo breakfast I dressed for shopping and left- first to pick up an order at Müller's then to my favourite shopping centre in good old Germany. This time I got everything on my shopping list. The shelves with gaps because of goods not available have wandered off to our side of the border. I did not buy lunch this time, and when I came back home at lunch time hubby was cooking spaghetti with walnut pesto he had bought at the shop this morning. And he also had bought four cans of Guiness for St. Patrick's Day. Fortunately Guiness was not dyed green, because a non-beer drinker like I am does know nothing about nitro balls in beer cans. The foam meant for the glass ended up on the table, while I watched in horror...
Despite the high prices for fuel hubby was happily driving along today. And I was glad when he left again in the afternoon, because hubby's new hobby is jigsawing. At the jigsaw I got for Christmas. And worse, he wants to be left alone when he does so, because he needs the table for himself to be able to wander all around, or he won't find the pieces he needs. It gets stranger each passing day! Where is spring when I need it? Needless to say that sneezing got better because of the rain washing the pollen out of the air. But with hubby bereft of e-biking a new problem has arisen! I think I prefer me sneezing to hubby jigsawing!
Two more weeks and we will be back to daylight saving time. Fine with me- at the moment daylight is heavily knocking at the balcony door at six in the morning. I needed to buy a new roller blind to keep the bugger where it belongs to- outside of the house, at least in the morning. So I went to the studio in the late afternoon, to look at the offerings of locals shops and Amazon. What I found was a special offer on lounge tables in a local furniture shop. In two weeks parcel service will bring two tables- one for the terrace, one for the TV nook. The latter was long overdue! Now the jardiniere can finally return to the conservatory, where it belongs. My toes will thank me- I stubbed them often enough on the six-legged menace!
