I see yellow

Not black out of pessimism, not red- but yellow, and almost a month early at that. Around the 24th of September (a local holiday for pupils, students and some privileged officials only, the rest of the population of our federal state will go to work as usual) the first yellow leaves will appear on the trees. But from my bedroom window I can see more and more trees which are no more sure if it´s autumn already and decide that enough is enough and begin to shut down the water supply for the leaves, hence the yellow colour that begins to appear among the wall of green opposite the bedroom window. Heating is on again, the nights are quite cool already- today we were down to eight degrees. Leaving the bedroom window open during night is a test for our duvets. Hubby will switch to the winter version tomorrow, when the chaos in the house will be reduced to normal level. I´ve got shuttle duty today, because hubby has tickets for one opera and a concert today, and daughter has her last day of employment. I will take them both into town and pick daughter up around nine. Hubby will take a cab back home. No chance I will stay up until midnight when I have to get up so early tomorrow! And now I am off to supervise the packing of the suitcases, or I will have to send things that have not made it into the luggage after daughter dearest from tomorrow on!

Your autumn is coming a little earlier than ours, but we seem to be at a steady 18 -20 by day and 11 — 12 by night so I think the winter duvet will be early here this year, too.

They always manage to leave something vital at home...

I bet there are plenty of things she will have to buy up there! And yay, we will be up to twenty from Friday on. Now I hope this ´summerly´ temperatures will stay for a few days at least!
