noadvertisingDialogue between my grandson and me:
"Would you please try on this jumper of Elsa, so that I can see how it fits on you?"
"Is this my new jumper?"
"No, it´s Elsa´s! Do you see those flowers? Flowers are for girls!"
"But I love flowers!"
"Thought you´d love dinosaurs!"
"So I will get dinosaurs on my jumper?"
"You will. And now I have to knit a bit!"
Five minutes later
"Is my jumper ready now? Where´s the dinosaurs?"
"You will have to wait. Knitting a jumper takes some time!"
Five minutes later
"Grandma, is it ready now?"
"No! I told you that this will take some time!"
"Why?"
I gave up then. I did not even knit a single row today, because my head is okay now, but my eyes are not. Yesterday, when my friend was here, I had made use of my contact lenses. Today I have a pinkeye. Not bad, but I seriously do not like itchy, running eyes. Blessedly I found a new package of eyesdrops. Besides, I would have had to knit with the lights on. It is cold and rainy outside, and lights got turned on around midday. In the middle of summer...
