So the last shots with Gandalf are done, a journey draws to a close. And what a long and unexpected journey it has been, and many of us travelled with from the beginning. Thank you for taking us along with you, Peter Jackson! You brought Middle Earth to life. These stories were part of my childhood, and you put my dreams of magic and wizards on the screen. I´d like to say "End? No, the journey doesn´t end here!", like Gandalf told us, but that would be a lie. All good things have to come to an end eventually, nonetheless the filming you have done will live on, like Tolkien´s books. Never will we forget those magical movies with Sir Ian McKellen, who didn´t merely play Gandalf but brought him to life. Thank,you, thank you, thank you for your stunning personification of this character! And though we all know  there will be two more films in theatres, Gandalf´s departure from the movie set marks the beginning of the end of an era. Namárië!
