Today was the first school day after summer break. And what a summer it has been, the hottest one in our region since records began, and, unfortunately, the loudest one in our area because of the ongoing roadworks. Seriously, it was that loud that everybody used to stay inside instead of frolicking in the pools. This week is for conferences and one important meeting with my dentist, who´ll pull out two of my wisdom teeth tomorrow morning, the rest of the day should be for recovery. So far, so good. Only that we just got the information that tomorrow our area of the city, albeit a small one, will have no access to drinking water because of the roadworks. From eight in the morning till six in the evening. A tad too long, I´d say. Because, seriously, no drinking water = no washing machine = no toilet flushing. The least of the problems is the drinking water, because there´s lots of mineral water in the cellar. The washing machine will have to do overtime today, because son no. 4 will leave tomorrow evening for Prague. Oh well, two days in school, and off we go, that´s the attitude! It´s the flushing that makes me cringe. One week later, hubby, the kids and me would have been at school all day, but this way  the family members will mournfully remember the fantastic times we all had when  toilet flushing was still working.

From 8 until 6???? A day for a family outing maybe? I hope they can manage to stick to their time schedule.
