I had a rather good night's sleep- amazing, since I spent most of yesterday's afternoon and evening on my armchair napping and watching TV. Ok, napping mostly... My back is still hurting when I bend sidewards, so I don't. My head cold is unnerving, I needed to drive to the pharmacy for more nose drops. Or send hubby. Opted for the latter. This time Boxagrippal did not solve the problem, but at least helped with the back pain. Would not spend another day sitting around only! Hubby bought mini pizzas and mozzarella and jalapeno sticks for Super Bowl night, which will start Sunday evening, around midnight. Which reminds me of my best Super Bowl, when we were in New Zealand and able to watch the game at a godly hour. Miss the good old times! At least daughter will come for the game!
I did never continue with the owl case for my spectacles. Did so this morning, since hubby did all the housework, and I was able to do what I wanted to do. Crocheted the owl's eyes. Not sure if I like them. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. I felt exceedingly better after lunch (beef escalopes, a leftover from yesterday, since I skipped both lunch as well as dinner). Hubby added carrots and peas, since he forgot to buy salad. He must have his daily greens...
Amazon came four times in the afternoon to deliver parcels. Twice for hubby, twice for daughter. Nothing for me, as usual. There must have been complaints about the way the parcels get delivered- now the delivery agents will ring the door bell. Since hubby was off in the afternoon it was I who had to open the door. Not funny when you are in the thick of Lego building. I had to redo one of the tiny buildings, because I smashed the upper part when I did a run to the entry door. Who knew that Lego building can be so complicated!
It is way too warm outside for February. And definiteky too dry. No rain, and even less snow! I had to water the potted outdoor plants today. That's a novelty, dragging a watering can out of the house in winter! Bad enough that I have to do this during summer! And with an aching back at that! As nuch as I love sunshine- a rainy day now and then would be very much appreciated!
