noadvertising ...and I wasn´t even upset about it. the sound of falling rain is sort of soothing. I slept in- had been awake around six in the morning, listening to the rain and the lot of courting birds outside, but fell asleep again. Hubby made fried eggs with bacon for breakfast, and I did not say no to this offer, only added strawberries and yogurt. My morning job was the vacuuming of the upper floor, the changing of the bedding on Cassian´s guestbed (it´s Harry Potter now) and the making of our beds, while hubby vacuumed downstairs and prepared lunch- Schwarzwälder Schnitzel with the leftover potato salad. Oh dear, he still has to be frustrated about things when he takes such recipes out! While working I had a phone call with sister and then another one with a friend, who will try to show up during next week, preferably before the boys will fall upon us- this might happen next Sunday, could also be Monday- son´s family is famous for irrational scheduling, with hubby and me having to take the brunt of their planning. My friend bemoans similar things- not having enough time for herself, because modern families can spend a huge amount of money on holidays and toys for the children but not on a professional nanny. For my friend it´s even worse, because she is living alone!
During after-lunch nap hubby sent me the link to a very interesting article about the rabid carrot and his connections to K-G-B. The article had to be taken down in the States immediately. No wonder! I think (and hope) there´s more to come! The audacity of this person is incredible as is the stupidity of the followers! Right-wings policy and corruption gets raised to a whole new level, and this says a lot, because there´s no policies which lean towards the socialist side in the States.
Hubby has staerted to wash the old Lego bricks- two sieves a day rinsed in hot soap water then spread on the kitchen counter. Not more, if we still intend to cook, which we naturally have to. That´s work for the whole of the next week at least! Tomorrow I will have to do a drive to a DIY market for low-slung plastic boxes. There´s only high ones in the house, not so good when you are looking for special bricks! I also should buy another wildlife camera. No more sure about it- son has three cameras at home, but those have to be installed in a way that rain will not hit them fully. I am not sure if we will be able to find the right place in the backyard of the house...
