Yesterday evening Hubby and I were sitting in front of the TV, when love-crazed froggie struck again. Please keep in mind that hubby is hard of hearing, and the TV is set on loud, but frog had no problems to outdo it. That's when hubby had enough and went in search of the bugger. And, lo and behold, found it hopping along the tiles around the pool. Hopping fast, and there were two of them. I have to admit that I stood on the terrace biting my fingers to not holler with laughter into the dark of the night, when hubby chased the buggers with the big net. Eventually, he succeeded and marched off towards the farmer´s field, two frogs safely caught in our pool cleaning net attached to a two metre handle. And hence we spent the first night after some very loud ones in quiet. Let's hope the frogs found what they were looking for at the small creek in the middle of the field. It's said that frogs always will return to the place of their birth, but it surely can't have been our pool with saltwater, or can it?
This morning got spent with last preparations for the oncoming visit of number three and family- fresh beddings, dusting, mopping, interrupted only by too many cups of coffee, which were supposed to keep me awake during afternoon, when the boys would demand all of my attention. When hubby left to pick them up at kindergarten I spent some time on my exercise bike, all the while carefully listening to its groaning sounds of misery, so that I'd be able to jump off before it broke down. Then I did a white sauce for the tortellini we were to have for lunch, afterwards I went to the bedroom, turned the tablet PC on and watched the Four Yorkshiremen with Rickman. Hilarious the second! We had a short after-lunch rest, .e resting and Cassian watching Ninjago, then went down to the conservatory to finally finish Diagon Alley. Elsa must not get her hands on this Lego, or she'd carelessly tear down the bricks to get to the tiny figurines hidden inside the shops. While we were at building the last shop son number three phoned and told us that DiL would come without him- he has to wait until the mother soil he has ordered will arrive. He will show up on Saturday, which means that the family will stay until Sunday. Great, just great! DiL is the one who will sit or lie down the moment she's at our house and nod off, leaving her children for the rest of us to watch over. No wonder that not even big brother wants her in his house!
After Lego building hubby took the boys outside, and I finally was able to turn my PC on and answer my mails. Usually I do so at the weekend but must have forgotten about it. Why people who are on my phone list insist on writing mails instead of using Whatsapp will remain a mystery to me. As always, it did not take long until the boys were back in and dashed up to the bedroom for the Staubmäusespiel. Even though there aren´t any- took me quite a time and a lot of sweating to get them all out by moving the marital bed back and forth. Even managed to subdue (kill) two of those long-legged spiders, which resided there. PC got turned off, today´s entry got written on my mobile, which I hate- no spell check, but I don´t care anymore...
