Daughter is a genius
May. 19th, 2025 07:26 pm There had been no progress with the jigsaw I am doing. One piece here, one piece there, and that was all. Same today, so I went to the kitchen to do seafood sauce instead. Daughter, who had intended to cook her own lunch at her flat, saw salmon and prawn and decided to stay for lunch. That woman needs a financially potent husband who can afford to feed her... Meanwhile daughter continued with the jigsaw, and after some time I heard a triumphant Yes, Yes, Yes from the conservatory. She had found the problem, which was the border itself. I already wrote that a lot of puzzle pieces seemed to be universally applicable, which complicates the situation because the currant pieces are all blue. Daughter measured out, relocated Taj Mahal to the left, and everything turned out okay. Sky (the blue part) is finished, rest will follow, when we are back from our trip.
Hubby was busy doing the last grinding off of the terrace then impregnated the concrete. Drove to the DIY market just before lunch time and came back with the tiles. Daughter helped carrying them into the carport, we had lunch and a nice after-lunch nap. Then number two plus family arrived and brought us cupcakes. I do not even want to know how much butter went into the topping, but they tasted fabulous! Daughter ordered the boys to stay away from grandma (I better stay healthy for the trip) then was off. Hubby and number two did discuss son´s travel plans (why must men be so very complicated) while DiL and I had a last cup of coffee and were highly amused about the way men want to trump each other, even if it´s father and son only. When they left I practically fled upstairs and turned my PC on. I need a city map of London, maybe it reminds me of the one thing I had intended to add to our to-do list- a short one, because I am not so mobile anymore, and we have already been at most tourist attractions...
