I did it!

Took the step ladder and pulled down the box with warm clothing. The combination of goose bumps and sore throat enabled me to overcome my fear of heights. I have taken two long-sleeved shirts and a legging out- will need them. The next two weeks temperatures will swing between 15 and 20 degrees. I know that I'm whining again. But if this sort of not-summer happened the years before I'd have booked the next flight to the life- threatening heat in the South. Because cold summer weather is also bad, and it usually comes with a- tata- cold, one which I have at the moment.
I used the remaining vegetables and some pork for cooking lunch, but only after having done all the sudokus and crossword puzzles which come with a daily's Sunday edition, the one I picked up at three thirty in the morning. All dailies must suffer a decrease of readers. That's why we get assailed with calls to maybe pay for an abo. No, thanks, I only pay for acceptable journalism!
The rest of the morning (I had a bit of a sleep-in, because neither hubby nor idiot neighbour excelled at making a racket) I also did tidy number four's room, before the boys will be here again tomorrow. Cassian is on pins and needles already: breakfast at our house with baklava then Titanic exhibition then McDonalds for lunch- can it get even better? I would have loved to do the Running Sushi with him, alas, we have to take Flavius with us, who'd put an end to the sushi running and get the four of us chucked out of the restaurant. One little terror is enough to thoroughly spook all the guests in a restaurant. Maybe we should tie Flavius to the slide on the play ground of McDonalds, while we have lunch. Then again, when the little monster gets fed it's usually placid. That's the way of monsters...
Sister came at four in the afternoon, dragging her visibly detoriating husband along. He's 81 now, and as long as he was able to tread the boards he was fine. Not so anymore- being at home mostly is so not his thing! That's why sis is dragging him along to places he loves or has lived at. Tomorrow it will be Bregenz for Oedipe. BiL loves opera, even though his hearing is bad. At the moment sis is back to Salzburg, watching women's football world championship finals with her husband. Hubby does the same, but without me. I am doomed! At least the TV does not do those funny sounds anymore when getting turned on and off. Flavius had slotted the TV's remote into his remote control car and initiated those sounds this way. Took husband mine some time to find a way to turn this awful tootlingo off!
