Or more precisely: I finished the Balmoral throw. I darned all woolen threads in and brought the throw down to the basement for tomorrow´s washing, together with all the brethren that are already in the house. Counted the threads and know now that I used up 24 balls of wool. Not as many as I thought I´d need, there are eight balls left now. A new throw? Maybe, but not this year! Haha, I know, this year is as good as over! Hubby did pulled turkey (selfmade) for lunch. I am not a fan of turkey, so I hope the family will not insist on having another one for Christmas! I had a short after-lunch nap then sorted things out I had hoarded in the art nouveau cabinet in the studio. Vases and old glass jars were allowed to stay as well as Hogwarts and Barad-dur. The rest came into boxes, which I will bring to a flea market. Hubby and son carried the cabinet down to the living room, where it will stay from now on. I cleaned the cabinet and rearranged what´s left of its content. At five number three called to tell us that we will have to pick Elsa up at the trainstation on Tuesday 28th. He has no clue when exactly, only knows that he will take the next train back home to resume work. Those phone calls are hard to endure, because son loves to present their offspring, which always results in a cacophony of battle cries and dad shouting.
Since I wanted to do okonomiyaki for tomorrow´s lunch but did not have all ingredients- it was after six, so all shops here closed already- I hopped into my car and drove to Aldi together with number four. Never again! Not that the shop was crowded, but many of the shelves with vegetables and fruits were emptied. I will have to do some replacements concerning the recipe, but I will manage. I always do. After so much excitement I poured me a glass of wine, grabbed a blanket and sat on the sofa for a while, doing some reading and Youtubing, until I decided to join husband in front of the TV- to watch the next crime thriller, of course. Hubby is a true thriller addict...
