What a great start...

noadvertising ...into the new year! Was at the dentist today, and that tooth has to go. But only after the pus is gone. No root treatment is possible because of calcified root canals. So I am on antibiotics at the moment, in combination with pain medication which won't turn my stomach into an acidic pool. Of course, the dental implant I'll need then will cost 3000 euro. Or more even...
Meanwhile hubby made sausages with rolls for lunch- the man who insists that there's plenty of time for me to cook real meals with greens and/or salad. Ha bloody ha! I pottered along for a while, wishing it was Tuesday already and the darn tooth was out. I need one or two nights with restful sleep, before three early shifts of daughter dearest will hit. She at least gets paid for them, while I only am an unpaid driver!
We are back to warmer temperatures (minus two in the afternoon), and guess what? It has begun raining instead of snowing. Feels like last winter, when we had rain mostly at temperatures under zero! Good that I won't have to leave the house the next two days! Might be a bit tricky to drive on the side roads with no salt spreading!
The only good thing with having a tooth out is that I won't have to attend the birthday avalanche from 17th to 19th of January! I so hate those days, when I am forced to meet up with people I do not know, or worse, with people I know but do not like. I will send hubby as a substitute, who will most likely have one beer then will return home, because he dislikes the same people but is polite enough to not let them feel his dislike. I really should work on this skill- I will usually stay at such parties and turn into a sarcastic bitch...
