...is for the birds. They said there'd be snow. We got rain again, fortunately not in the early morning. I was back home shortly after four and slept till eight. More pills, a light breakfast, then I cooked the soup base and the meat for tomorrow's ramen. Hubby had leftovers for lunch, I picked daughter up at the airport and we toured over the border to do the planned big shopping- shoes, two dresses for daughter, groceries, wool, new bed linens, medication, cosmetics. And, of course, new garden magazines- each of them two euros less than here, on our side of the border. Daughter bought dinner for us- soft things for me, crispy meat for hubby and her. Back home coffee, crossword puzzles and more pills for me (would not be able to pull through without them), then I called it a day and went to the TV nook with daughter and watched another episode of Ancient Aliens- we both needed a good laugh, before we fell asleep during a docu about ancient Greece. I woke at seven, because hubby had switched to Rentner TV, a local news programme he watches seven days a week. It's mostly about new bike ways and no-parking zones. Very boring, but hubby likes it. I went through the new magazines, sniffling all of a sudden. Running nose, sore throat- great, just great! Now I can't even take Boxagrippal against the oncoming cold because of the heavy (but definitely not sufficient) pain medication. My dentist will be not amused on Tuesday, but this tooth has to go...
