A boring football game is, as the word implies, boring. A boring half-time show is a matter of opinion. I gave up watching at three thirty in the morning. The game was boring, the show bombastic, if you like bombastic, but to me it was boring, too. The music was not what I like to watch. Hear. Whatever. Yet there was one good thing: The rabid carrot was outraged, that's good. Very good. Excellent, so to say. I think that this was it- my last Super Bowl. I am too old for this. I didn't even eat the pizza I had prepared. Hubby overslept and came down late. Left, when the show started. Could not blame him for this...
Nevertheless, I was up and running at eight. After breakfast hubby decided to tackle the problem with the vanity Elsa wants for her birthday, which is only three weeks and three days away. He tried to order it online- it did not work, because customer data will get deleted in case the customer has not shopped in the space of a year. And since the furniture store is not one famous for short lead times either, it was about time to do a visit to the store. Which was a lucky coincidence, because it turned out that the vanity hubby had intended to order was one for toddlers. Why a toddler would need a vanity remains a mystery to me, but I ceased wondering about certain things long ago. The only thing that should have alarmed me was the fact that the vanity was listed in the department for babies. We were lucky and found another vanity, this time for adults- same size as the one son had sent us the link for, but twice as pricy. It is bought now and hubby will assemble it the next days. Afterwards we had lunch in the store´s restaurant, which turned out the wrong thing to do for me, because hubby had ordered fish, when I was in the restroom. He thought I´d love to have fish, because I had sent him on a merry hunt for it yesterday. Yes, I need fish filet for cooking fish curry, but definitely no breaded one. Besides, my medication which makes me tolerate fish was at home in a drawer. I gave half of the fish to hubby and ate mostly salad. The journey home was spent with fighting nausea- what a valid reason to go up to the bedroom and start a long, much needed rest! I had a phone call with a friend, who finally wants to meet up with me, preferably in a café. Yet I was not able to fix a meetup, because DiL has announced the need for a babysitter but did not tell us when exactly. That woman and her inability to supervise her children all day long! Must be the horror for her when there are school- and kindergarten hols, as we have at the moment!
Not much more got done in the afternoon. I watched hubby drive off again, turned the TV on and made myself comfortable in the wing chair, where I had another short nap, before hubby sailed back in and switched to senior programme, which made me take flight to the studio for typing...
