While Europe hunts the grey squirrels down, NZlanders do the same with the possums. I like those fuzzy creatures, but everybody here tries to take down as many of those critters as possible, be it by car or other devices. Yes, possums do have nasty feeding habits, like gnawing on the same tree until it dies, or eating birds' eggs, even those which contain kiwis in spe. Yet I won't overrun those cute animals, not if I can help it! Streets here are already littered with corpses of possums!
