So rain has not left much of last week´s snow, and I finally was able to hang up the last decorations for Christmas. I´ll certainly saw down our cypress next spring, because I no longer can reach the top of it to put up the lights. I bought the tree five years ago and kept it in a planter for two years, until it was big enough to not being cut down by my oh so helpful men, when one of them was in the awkward predicament of having to maw the lawn. It should not get bigger than one and a half metre, but we are up to three and a half now. Maybe I should buy a longer ladder instead. This year will be one hell of a Christmas, because my whole family will celebrate at my house, including sis and her family. I am thrilled, because our house isn´t this big, and brother-in-law and I are the only ones to cook something edible. Maybe I´d serve a load of Wassail on Christmas Eve and pray for a persistent headache the next day to avoid cooking. That still leaves four teenagers to be dealt with, who certainly won´t get a sip of that delicious brew, none of them in possession of a driver licence. Poor me!
