Jul. 6th, 2014 09:03 pmThe first day of vacation traditionally is the day when my internet connection raises its hat, makes a formal bow and waltzes off, to not to be seen again until next day, or, if I am lucky, late in the evening. This usually happens at Christmas, Easter and at the beginning of summer break, and I really, really hate it. Yesterday morning I checked my mailbox, wrote an urgent mail to my headmaster but could not send it off, because meanwhile my internet connection had bowed off. It browsed around my PC at ten pm, looking how I was faring, decided I was well enough to throw a tantrum and for that reason checked-out again. In the morning my fixed phone line had associated itself with that damned online access, which was bad because now my mother went into alarm mood and began to flood my mailbox with messages, none of them reaching me because I sat in my swimming pool meanwhile, brooding over the possibility of another day without internet, which in turn was bad because I extremely lag behind in answering my mails. Son no.2 was my family´s saviour and got it going again in the evening. Thus far none of my provider´s workers has been able to decipher the reason of said occurance. There was no other breakdown reported save the one in our house. The modem has been examined three weeks ago and was ok. And yet I am dead certain that, come Christmas, the "Catch the internet" game will start all over!
