Jan. 25th, 2015 07:40 pmAfter three nights with next to no sleep (I go to bed at midnight, daughter mine was in the mood for chatting and deliberately ignored the time difference, this way kept me awake from two to four in the morning by sending me news via Whatsapp, and I was glad to hear about her whereabouts, actually) we decided to change tactics and installed Skype for some kind of video conference. I contacted her at eleven in the morning, which is eleven in the evening in NZ. It was nice to talk to her about her guest family and the house she lived in, though we only were able to hear her voice. The moment we had bid farewell to her she triumphantly announced that she had finally found the light switch in her room. No wonder we weren´t able to see her during conversation. Please note: skyping in a dark room is only half as fun!
