Renovation time...

Had to set my hand to our dining table, because Lady Vaire had used it as a skating ground for hyperactive cats, enthusiastically slithering across the lacquered surface too often while using her claws as skate blades. Did sand the surface three times, then applied three layers of varnish before a final sanding. Painted the last layer of varnish, brought the paint tin to the kitchen, returned to the winter garden, removed Vaire-cat from the fresh painted table and gave her a thorough washing (plus a scolding). Will have to do another round of sanding and painting tomorrow. Oh joy!
