A car driver got a ticket for driving too fast. That is okay, lots of people here die because of this. He was fined 57 €, but when he paid the penalty, he erred and remitted 58 €. Now comes the kicker: Though technically having got more money than required the Viennese police fined him again, 70 Euro this time, in addition to the old penalty, of course, and our
Administrative Court says everything is fine, if somebody remits the wrong amount of money (even if it's more money than requested) police may judge that the penalty has not been paid in time, hence the additional penalty. No wonder everything here goes down the tubes!
