There´s a first time for everything...

Daughter´s history teacher now demands interviews to be added to the Anzac debacle that is my daughter´s pre-scientific paper, that´s why hubby, aware of the joys of having to communicate via Skype, made a proposal: Why not contact our friends and do the interviews in NZ personally? So for the first time in our life daughter and I will not be home at Christmas but will travel across NZ, to trudge round some of those awesome war museums and make brief visits to her former school, her host and some friends who live on the South Island but hail from Australia, while hubby does the family thing at home aka serving stuffed turkey to the rest of the family which is still big enough to annihilate an 18-pounder. We will leave at the 13th of December, headmaster has already given his consent and wished daughter good luck for her research work. Daughter wants to spend the night before Christmas (which in Austria is THE important part of Christmas, because we have a Christkind who brings the presents earlier than Santa) and wants to spend New Year´s Eve at Cape Reinga, in the car, without fireworks...rather spooky, I´d say! I may account myself lucky we won´t be at that place at Samhain, or I´d be scared spitless! That place is creepy someway!
