Yesterday was a fun day, with two boat trips, one guided, one done by hubby himself. The second one was big fun, because we did stop in quite a few little harbours, testing out the various offers of cakes and coffees. We called it Tour de cake, and that's what I wrote my friend on Whatsapp: Did a boat tour today, then had a Tour de cake, no more able to eat diner.
Now the big fun began, because what I got back in response was this: Sorry that you are sick, hope you will feel better soon. See: if you replace the first letter of cake with k and add another one to the word you get a very different meaning in German. So my friend had thought I caught some tummy bug that made me skip the evening meal, and sent me good vibes so that I would be able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. That's what you get when you do not tell all of a story. We both had a good laugh that evening. That was before the wind began to blow full power. Must have been the offshoot of the storm front that hit the mainland and caused death and destruction. No ships were out today except for the real big ones. Lucky me that we did our tours before bad weather hit full power!
