Currently we are placing bets on how long it will take to shut down the firm number four is working for as temporary help. Sooner rather than later is what I hope for. One of the co-workers has been put into strict quarantine, because her son is COVID 19 positive. There aren´t that many workers in the distribution centre, because most of the procedure is done by robots, but it´s no fun to have followed all the rules our government has put upon us yet the disease is now closer than ever. The company provides pharmacy stores with drugs and cosmetics, so maybe they only will replace those who have been in close contact and put them under quarantine, too, because so many orders are rolling in in times like these. Good thing is that son most likely has not have come in contact with the one now quarantined. Bad thing is that now personnel is missing, and son has freely volunteered to fill in for the next days. Son says they have been wearing masks and gloves during his second week, but also has to admit that they had not done so when he started working. Hubby almost had a hysterical fit when he heard about the disaster. Well, he belongs to the age group where people often develop serious clinical symptoms, while I am the one with serious respiratory disorder. Do you think it´s already too late to send son back to his flat in Graz? What a bummer...
Cat is still not okay. Namo gets treated with thyroid medication, but his pancreas shows signs of inflammation, so there´s another conctruction site the vet has to deal with, let alone the bladder stones that darn cat got because of his liking for kibbles. Namo is trying to coax Vaire into opening the drawer where once the dried cat food has been stowed. Vaire-cat can and might even do it, because she´s a kibble addict also. Bad luck that hubby took all of it and brought it to our animal shelter, which runs out of staff and money now that the corona crisis strikes full force. Poor Namo, poor Vaire!
