Apr. 16th, 2021 04:32 pmI got a bit distracted yesterday, did not even post as usual. In the evening I had Cassian duty aka bring the little imp to bed, so that the proud parents of the young one were able to spend an nice evening with their friends and admire the new addition to their family. Not allowed yet, of that I am aware, because we are still lockdowned from 8 PM to six in the morning, but who cares, numbers are falling, and if you have a look at what´s going on in the evening now, when clans wander from one place to another and no one intervenes, I will not accept that doing the same on a small scale might get penalised. Cassian´s parents have been tested the same day, the other family did so, too. To kill time I turned on TV and activated Netflix. Should not have done it, because I got lost in Witcher watching. Oh my, that´s quite a series! Totally made my evening! Seriously, I want Netflix at home, too, but husband is reluctant. Very reluctant in fact, because he is afraid that Netflix might terminate daily Tatort-time. Seriously, this man has a great problem with his need for daily crime series!
Weather is fine now. It is still too cold for April, but at least we are up to five degrees today. The ornamental cherry tree is flowering nicely, but most of the magnolia´s buds have frozen off which makes me sad, because I will have to saw off many of its branches to not further enrage our neighbour- this means that next year the tree will have even less buds than usual.
Baking bread is as boring as Breaking bad. I can´t stand neither the former nor the latter. It is the third time in row that the dough won´t rise, even though the sourdough starter had been bubbling fine in its container, when I took it out of the fridge. Only when I mixed it with flour it died off. Hubby better buy a loaf at the baker, or he will have toast for breakfast!
