Too much rain and too much wool
Apr. 19th, 2021 07:53 pmSince it was grey and rainy outside today hubby and I decided to forego working in the garden. We don´t want the sniffles (again). Instead I did inventory of my stock of wool. Too much of it, as I thought. So I went through crocheted blankets on Pinterest. Yes, there´s a lot of it. Unfortunately the ones I like aren´t for free. This one was my favourite:
Alas, no free pattern available anymore. And I will not pay for a thing I cannot have at least a tiny peek into, so that I can decide if I am able to read the pattern at all.
My friend found this blanket. Looks nice and easy to do, just handy for baby on the way.
Friend thinks that in time the two of us will be able to decipher the different patterns of the first blanket, while I am not so sure. Plus, this blanket is designed for beach, not that in times of Corona we will be allowed to travel there, but you never know. Well, next year maybe... Tomorrow I will sort the wool by colour, and only then I will decide what to do.
Being married plus both of us retired has at least one advantage: I have to do only half of the housework, the other does hubby. Even if we get up late all chores are done before lunch, washing laundry included. Never in my life have I read so many books in such a short time, because otherwise I´d be bored to death. But today daughter mine showed me the first episode of the Witcher. Yes, the lady has a Netflix account but did not tell me. Not that I won´t get my own, but it was nice to see husband mine cringe in front of the TV. This man so is not made for fantasy!
