Blanket 2nd

I spread the wool on the bed and decided that a baby blanket was out of the questiuon. That poor child surely would go either blind or melancholic by those awful colours! It´s either orange, pink and kelly-green or grey, black and dark violet. I will pack most of the wool into an old-clothes bag and search on Amazon for colours more apt for little ones. But I was able to decipher the inner core of the beach blanket, even refreshed my knowledge of Tunisian crocheting, so I will keep some of the less eye threathening balls of wool!
I spent some money on buying a book of Sapkowski. It was my fault that I bought it in German. I really don´t know why translation into this language always reads so awkward. I mean, German always sounds awkward, this I know, but shouldn´t I be happy to read a book written in my first language? What pertains for German authors does certainly not apply for translations. Tolkien, Constantine, le Guin have been so very skilled with words, yet the translation into German did take away much of its magic. And Sapkowski may be a master of fantasy, but he´s certainly no master of words in the way the previously mentioned authors are, so harm done twice! German harshness meets rustical structure of language, what a bummer! I think I´ll order some of the books as ebooks, to be able to follow the story (or get back to sleep more quickly when reading them)!
