Brrr again

Good morning, it is Thursday, May 20th, and it is seven degrees outside. Heating is on (again), summer clothes are still in the cellar. I fear we won't need them the way we were used to those last hot years. I will not have much time to post for the next days because of family affairs, so I thought I better do this last post earlier than usual. As promised the neighbour's gardener has begun to build low concrete walls around the property, closing the gaps between the old ones. Because- Hannelore has gone astray again. This time she almost found an untimely death in our swimming pool. Hannelore is a fresh water turtle, while our pool has saltwater in it. Many a frog has payed for this with his life. Hubby detected the runaway when she was about to slide down the stairs leading into the water. Hannelore is back with her owner, and back will also be the fight with the owner and her neighbours. A wall to the neighbour instead of a simple garden fence? Technically it´s a garden fence with concrete base, but who cares! The nerve of it! Let´s call our lawyer! Those two parties have fought for a long time now and are well-known at police and court. Not a fun thing, but as long as they keep hubby and me out of their quarrel...
Now I am off to do the cooking for today. Six adults won´t be content with bread and butter only...
