Cassian discovered the word ´no´, which makes his mother a bit nervous, especially if he uses it when he is to go back home. So when he has to leave we always have one howling child who wants to stay, a mother who wants to be back home and a grandmother who´d love to finally be home alone, the sooner the better, though her name is not Kevin. And then there´s the coffee maker which does a fabulous cappucino which hubby always freely offers to DiL during such stressful times. DiL loves cappucino and gratefully accepts hubby´s offer, while the mistress of the household goes through a variety of possibilities to get rid of both of them- in thought, of course. In plain English: I was in a bad mood this morning. We got up too early, because hubby had to pick the little one up at seven in the morning, brought his dad to work then braved two shops with the young one before he finally arrived here with bread for breakfast (the old one went out of the house in the form of number four´s sandwich)- at half past nine. That certainly did not improve my mood, because last thing I had eaten was early lunch the day before. I am willing to lose weight, but not if it includes stomachache caused by hunger.
Good thing is that weather has improved nicely and it is warm enough to use the pool. Bad thing is that with the young one here my chores aren´t finished until afternoon. It is more reading books and playing cars I do than wiping and dusting, cooking lunch placed in between. Tomorrow will be the same, save that hubby will be off to the Festspielhaus, to listen to the final rehearsal of Don Giovanni. That´s the good thing that comes with three people working at the festival- you get plenty of those tickets! Saturday we also will see more of our grandchild and less of his mother- I think I need a boost of energy to get through the rest of the week!
Crocheting the beach blanket proceeds too slowly, for the stated reason and the fact that one of the main colours of the yarn is not available at the moment. I bought a new colour to do the next section of the project, but then I am in difficulties- I need more white yarn of the same texture! Not that I will drag this monster of a blanket to a beach, it´s too heavy, but I want it finished as soon as possible! The time for embroidery for Christmas is near!
