Number two will pick up his son at eight in the evening, which is way past the young one's bedtime, but he will pick him up, and we might have a peaceful night ahead. After two nights with Cassian getting up super early (in our thinking only, he slept an hour longer than he is used to) we had a night filled with booming techno music that kept us awake till long after midnight- thank you, dear neighbours, maybe you better confiscate your dumb son's stereo before you leave for another vacation! Hubby and grandson have been at the playground for almost two hours, so I have been able to put away those things the young one has spread all over the house during the last days- a lot of cars, the content of Elsa's doll house, quite a lot of toy cooking utensils, his Schleich horses (dozens of those, usually food for Cassian's dinosaurs, so glad that he did not yet find the knights that go with the horses). All had to be put back into boxes and brought out of reach of the young one, or the chaos would start anew today. Thank you, hubby, for keeping Cassian occupied! Tomorrow I will have guests for dinner, there's no time for another cleaning spree! Cassian will be with us in the afternoon, but he will have to stick to one set of toys. What a pity that the weather will change from sunny but cool to really cold and wet, so no playground for the little one. Just now it has been story time with grandma (he loves inventing new stories involving Gruffalo), now it's down for a snack, then off he goes. Hopefully! My neck is still stiff, I am sniffling, but I dragged the palmtrees and olive trees from the garden onto the terrace. The lemon trees will have to get brought in by hubby, they are too heavy for me to carry. Chances are good that we will get down to zero or even lower during night all week long. I so hate it!
