Uneventful but productive
Oct. 24th, 2021 07:19 pmWe are back to wearing FFP2 masks inside every publically building. That´s why I will do only essential shopping at the moment. Sorry, but if it stays this way I am back to ordering by Amazon, like it or not, dear government! No concert hall, no cinema, no museum for me. Okay, the thing with the cinema is that I haven´t been in one since the Hobbit, and that was bad enough. Sitting in a dark space with a person next to you who munches popcorn for the next two hours is not what I want to spend money on. Today I decided to do a bit of tree pruning. Weather was gorgeous, after a cold night with zero degrees it warmed up quickly. Frost-resistant spice plants are back in the hibernation crate, I cut back the quince and the dwarf maples while hubby removed the withered blossoms of the hydrangeas. Thank you, hubby, for doing this for me, there have been lots of giant spider nets woven between the bushes, and I hate spiders! Afterwards we searched for some Halloween decoration that might have been plodding along in the basement, alas, all we found was a wooden witch and a singing pumpkin that was not singing anymore and went straight into the bin. Tomorrow I will do one last trip to a shopping centre for some spooky garlands and battery-operated tealights for the pumpkins, and that´s it. Want more decoration? Bring some! I will do the cooking, you will do the rest!
Embroidering is nearly done, now I need to shop a new pillow, because the one I chose is Namo cat´s resting place now. He barely leaves it for a tour to the litter box then sleeps on on it. Hubby says that one day in the near future he will find him dead on the pillow. I fear hubby is right...
