Namo cat, who is very sick for more than one year now, has decided that not eating is no option for him anymore- though now he now does not accept that pauses between meals are highly recommended. And if he does not get what he wants he takes matters into his paws and does a thorough inspection of our kitchen and the upper bathroom, because there has to be something edible, there always is. Usually this inspections end with things crashing to the floor, and that´s it. Hubby and I have been locking the food a cat might find to its liking up for weeks now. What we did not consider was that a hungry cat finds practically all groceries to its liking. This night Namo killed the bag of instant cocoa. And what a carnage he did, by slitting it open and spreading the powder all over the floor! Where he licked it up there were brown puddles dried-up to crusts. Oh yes, what better start into a day one can hope for than mopping and vacuuming floors and cleaning countertops! Otherwise it was a remarkably unremarkable day. No grandchildren to take care of, no washing to do, no floors to vacuum (all done in the morning). Daughter and I did the pesto rosso for lunch, and she indeed spiced it up with lots of birdseye chilli powder. So good that Cassian was not with us, he´d have breathed fire! The only thing which was annoying was that my car was off for inspection until midday. I really need to pick up my magazines and shop for Elsa´s birthday present. Little lady will turn three in March, and since Covid numbers are so high here, there might soon be the next lockdown at hand (which will be all for nothing, as always, but our thick-headed politicians don´t know any better and are currently doing the egg dance, which might be funny to watch would the outcome not be so serious). And have you had a look into Amazon recently? A lot of things are not available all of a sudden, especially those toys I am in search of. So the next toy shop it will be, preferably tomorrow. Poor hubby will have to bring number four to work in the morning, because hubby needs his car and I mine! Hubby will love me for this!
