After I went to three birthday parties in a row for many a year I attended none in 2022. The first one ceased anyway, when the old lady died three years ago, so two more left to attend. First one I missed because I did not want to meet up with a lot of unvaccinated people I do not even know, and for the one today goes the same- birthday lady is vaccinated (cancer survivor are supposed to act this way), one of her daughters is also, but the second one is a hardcore vaccine refusenik, as is her husband and many of the guests that will come to gratulate her. I bet the neighbour from yesterday is among them. Somewhere here there has to be a nest of those strange creatures who refuse vaccination! I will not go to join the party, and hubby won´t either, which is a first. This weekend will be plenty of time to bring over flowers and a present. Clearly this new mutation is more potent than the former ones, my niece and her boyfriend, who both had Covid at the beginning of the pandemic and are boostered already (you are not allowed to work in theatre otherwise) have caught the new type of virus and have to stay inside my sister´s flat, that´s where they stranded with symptoms on their way back from Vienna to Munich. Sister is not amused, but we consented to provide them with groceries for as long as they are confined.
I still did not manage to sew together all the squares of the big blanket for the sofa. THere´s always one Cassian in the way who loves to play with them. I do not know what that boy sees in those squares... Tomorrow he´ll be with us again, what a pity I did not feel well enough today to work on that chore, but it´s definitely no fun if you have to put the blanket aside every ten seconds to blow your nose!
