Evening already
Feb. 16th, 2022 07:24 pmI wonder where this day has gone. Got up at seven, had breakfast with hubby, did scrambled eggs for daughter (she has badly burned her hand when snitching a piece of meat out of the oven and can´t even break open eggs), did cleansing with hubby, did Kimchi stew for lunch, crocheted a bit then got a call from my friend- it was about time to do a grocery run in Germany. Came back at five in the afternoon, stew was almost gone by then, saved the last bites for son who will be back tomorrow and wanted some of it, did cold cuts for dinner, and now I am ready for watching TV. Time flies! The crocheting part was why I decided to join my friend. Daughter had written me an instruction for the twelve squares I had to add- colour, pattern, position of the squares. The thing is that I did not read the instruction properly, and when I began to add the new squares I found that I had muddled up the colours. Li was supposed to be limegreen, not lilac! Now I have three squares that won´t fit, and not enough wool for the border. The shop in Germany sells the brand of wool I need, and I indeed got what I wanted. All of it, how strange! We are used not to get what we want. Many shops have reduced their choice of products- during our many lockdowns shops were only allowed to sell groceries and had to close the sections with other goods (to not impair the situation for those shops that had to remain shut) and never re-opened them. Totally not funny! So I often do the trip over the border to Germany to save money, because, as
wiseheart emphasised- prices are way higher than before the pandemic and still climbing. Those who had prophesied this got branded as storytellers... but who´s the storyteller now?
