What I should have done
Feb. 18th, 2022 08:11 pmI should have sewn more squares of the baby blanket together. I should have started with Elsa´s doll blanket (we will visit family number three in two weeks). But the weather was warm, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping (since 5.30 in the morning, much to my chagrin), another storm is already on its way to pick up with our garden inventory- so I decided to spend the day with gardening and loading the trailer with things that did not survive the storm that came before the new one. What can I say- crocheting and sewing has to be postponed for a few days, firstly because my fingers are stiff from pruning the fruit trees and hydrangeas as well as the hibiscus. They are also cut in various places. Maybe gardening has been not such a good idea...
Son is feeling better and will arrive at ten, to go to work tomorrow. His cousins are delighted! The three of them have plotted against number five since they met for the first time. I vividly remember the day, when we had a barbecue in the garden, and little Lil, the youngest of the group, did not show up. We found her in the garage bound to an old garden chair. The four had played cowboys and Indians, and she had been the pale-face at the stake...
