Definitely not!

I finished Elsa´s sun hat- and noticed too late, that, despite all the care I have taken when knitting it, the hat is too big. Way too big in my opinion, even though I have studied the measurements for three-year-old and did three tension checks. And just when I was about to give up, unravel the whole thing and accept the fact that project sun hat had failed daughter mine came with the solution to the problem- a pulled-in row of chains, the loose ends draped like a flower or the like. Cassian´s head will be the model once again, and he better not talk about helmets this time!
It has been a rainy day with cool temperatures. Already it´s almost dark outside with five degrees, not the weather we usually have at the end of April. Ever since our apple tree has begun to blossom I haven´t seen a single bee on the tree. No bees, no apples. Same goes with the mirabelle tree, the quince bushes and the cornel. There are no bees, not when we need them. Strange thing is that there are no bumblebees, either, because bumblebees at least are supposed to be at work in cool weather! One reason might be, as TV told us yesterday, that beekeepers feed their bees by costum, even though they do not need additional feeding. And that a lot of farmers now grow rapeseed, which bees love. We will see the consequences in autumn...
