Productive today

Hubby decided to take Cassian to our backyard mountain- technically we have two of them, but only one you can take a bus to get to the top, and busses are free on Fridays, at least until summer. Daughter had a medical appointment then wanted to shop at her favourite Chinese store. No one at home- I knew that this day was the day to treat our dinner table. I found sandpaper but not our orbital sander, so I had to do everything by hand. Not a problem, besides, less dirt! Had hubby been at home he´d have dragged the table onto the terrace, waited for the sunshine to get there (around midday) then started working. Or maybe not, because he´have used the orbital sander, yet it has to be quiet outside between 12 and 2 PM! I sanded in the living room for about an hour, oiled the wood, mopped the floor and dusted the cupboards then waited for daughter to return- and only then we dragged the table outside into the sun, for the oil to dry more quickly. Then we began to prepare ramen soup for dinner. We all love ramen. Only that the noodles now cost a fortune. Next time I will make them myself, that´s for sure! I am not willing to pay four Euro for 300 gramm noodles that cost half the price three weeks ago! Hubby came back early. Apparently it´s stressing to be on the way with a toddler. Well, he could have stayed at home. He didn´t, thank goodness! Tomorrow there´ll be rain again, so this was the best day to do constructive work like sanding and oiling! I made pancakes for the rest of the family for dinner, watched the recent episode of Küchenschlacht then went upstairs to watch more episodes of Never Too Small on Youtube. Fascinating ideas for small flats! And fascinating architects! Btw, Cassian now also wants a candy-coloured shirt- I hope he forgets about it soonest!
