Too hot

I think I sat about half an hour on the terrace, at 28 degrees, watching Cassian drive this trike. Took him long enough to get the hang of it (Elsa sat down on it and was off, and this happened more than half a year ago). Little guy was so excited at the prospect of being able to get into the tiny basin that he was not able to do his daily nap. He fidgeted, he chattered, he was a huge dinosaur which was not supposed to sleep anyway, and after some time I told him, that, if he'd be able to lay still and be quiet for ten minutes, he'd be allowed to get up. He was quiet for ten minutes. My glimpse at the watch confirmed that ten minutes were over, and off he was. Half an hour in the sun was enough for me to get a sunburn on my arms and a headache. Back in the house I found a huge spider (hubby brought it to neighbour's garden) and daughter having a late lunch. I had not even noticed her come back from her friend. Aircon is up and running now, so that I will at least be able to do a few rounds of knitting. Knitting at hot temperatures is sheer horror for me, but there's a deadline looming ahead...
