Friday funnies

Cassian is with us, or better said, he is with hubby, because daughter-in-law does not want a cold in her family. Strange thing is that she does not want her oldest either on a day her husband is supposed to come home late. Husband did burgers for lunch, but grandson did not eat it. He tells that only McDonalds can make a good hamhamburger. And that they put nice toys into the bags. Now I wonder who has taken the little one to that restaurant of horror- it was definitely not his parents! So hubby maybe, without my knowledge. Or he has seen advertising on TV... To make things worse, we had an impressive thunderstorm during lunch, and another one half an hour later. Grandson listened to the claps of thunder from under the table, because the dreaded donuts were on their way again! Fortunately the daily midday nap after lunch was no problem this time. I told grandson, that if he´d not do one I´d take my tablet and won´t let him see an episode of Dora (no clue, why all my grandchildren love this series) before going to bed. Blackmailing, I know, but it worked, and how! He watched a short clip of funny people constructing a chain reaction machine with dinosaurs (way better than Dora) then turned around and slept like a log- and me, too. Now I am well-rested but not able to knit. I wish that hubby´d bring me a drip catcher for my nose! So cleaning my studio and doing the spare bed it is, and then a nice cup of tea, to lift my spirits. Tomorrow is Eurovision contest day! Daughter has already brought up a spare mattress from the cellar, hubby got us chips and dips, so that the two of us will have a fun night! Our sharp-tongued commentators will do their best to keep us entertained!
