After one week without Cassian and more than five without a second car, everything is back to normal. Hubby picked his car up then parked it at his old school and got into the bus with Cassian. They did a bit of city touring, before they went to the airport, to visit aunt Lil at work. Youngster got gifted three chocolate bars and a lolly by the staff. They came back late with a bag filled with donuts they bought at a bakery. I did lunch- Mapo tofu, number four´s favourite. Plase mind- do not serve this dish to people who suffer from a cough. Cough might get worse, it´s the Szechuan pepper in the dish. Daughter came to us early, bringing a bag full with donuts also. Cassian now suffers from a sugar high, and I had to cancel dinner for me. Definitely too many calories today...
We are just entering the third round of thunderstorm today. None has been a big one, but enough to scare grandchild out of his wits. There´s the thing with lightning and donuts aka Donner aka thunder. Of both he had enough today. Tomorrow we are meeting up with sister in a country inn we used to visit with our mother during summer. And on Sunday it will be Xaver´s fourth birthday. We still do not know if we are welcomed, since we are the ones who brought Cassian to Elsa then to Oscar and his brother, who both might have caught the virus, and so close to their planned trip tp Croatia at that!
No knitting today, too warm and sultry in and out of the house. I will have to shop buttons for the knitted flowers again. What I thought to be buttons was some strange construct made for bedding, and no buttons at all. Never seen the like before, will go to the donate- box immediately. And now I am off for a bit of TV watching, then up to bed early. We are at day three now with getting up at three AM- after that, only one more to go!
