Jul. 17th, 2022 05:17 pmGrandson did not wait for the plane to Rhodes to wake up this morning. It began at five o'clock, when our idiot neighbour decided to act up once again. He had not done so for weeks, but all good things must come to an end. Five minutes later Cassian began to wander around in the studio. He has a doll house there and lots of plush toys, but no, he found my harp and gave us a concert instead. Afterwards nothing would keep him from entering our marital bed and putting an abrupt stop to our sleep-through-the-ruckus efforts. Cassian chatted non-stop and would not accept closed eyes as a sure sign, that some people were not yet ready to start the day. At 6:15 I gave him my tablet, so that he might watch his favourite videos. No such luck, because everytime advertisements showed up, he began to rant loudly. I know that he can tap the button to stop it, but he did not want to- makes one very frustrated grandma. We were all up at half past six. At nine I had already cleaned the kitchen and the living room and had knitted 24 rows of the jumpers sleeve. Husband and Cassian were off for a visit to the dog which stinks like a skunk then (that's what the owner told us). I never smelled a skunk, and do not intend to do so, but I am pretty sure she exaggerates. Soon the youngster's family will arrive for frolicking in the pool, which leads to me not frolicking. The only good thing is that I do not have to do lunch- hubby will order pizza instead. He wanted to order from our favourite Thai takeout, but this one will be closed for another week- cook is a victim of Covid. When today's ruckus has died down, I will have a relaxing phone call with a friend, who also suffered from family invasion this weekend. I think a long shopping trip to Germany is in order for the two of us...
