Sep. 10th, 2022 05:57 pmThe moment our grandsons were back from Romania, hubby went back to usual routine. Today he came back from grocery shopping with two dozens Bavarian veal sausages and just as many lye pretzels. Yes, he has invited family number two and the friend, who has accompanied daughter-in-law on her way back home, for Bavarian Oktoberfest. Now I dislike pretzels and absolutely hate Weißwurst, but that is not the problem. I have been very lazy with keeping my household in best shape, only doing the most important chores like cleaning the kitchen and the toilets. So today it was dusting the top of the shelves (thank you, Swiffer, for the long handle), vacuuming spider webs (where do those critters come from, when the windows I keep open during day all have insect nets- immigrating as tiny weeny baby spiders and grow in a hidden corner, until they are finally big enough that even I will see them?), cleaning windows (thank you, hubby, for doing this, I can´t lift my arm high enough to get to the upper end). I am far from done, but I have spent the last two hours cooking and frying dinner for us. The rest of housework will get done tomorrow. Daughter will arrive in a few minutes for another overnight stay. We will have dinner, watch a series on Netflix then go to bed early. Oh yes, it´s early shift time again, hooray!
