We know that LJ has a Russian owner. Until now I haven´t even noticed that there is a war going on between one detestable aggressor and a country, which only wants to be left alone. But now and then a journal gets praised that goes with the aggressor´s attitude. As I said, not often, but occasionally. If there´ll be more of it, I will switch to DW for an entry, where I can rant as much as I want. But I will do so only for ranting, which I don´t do that often.
Hubby and I are not feeling well. Not sick per se, but we both have a runny nose and a cough plus a sore throat. We have been resting almost all day long. It was not exactly helpful that we had föhn all day long. Temperatures climbed to 26 degrees, that´s why I spent the afternoon inside the house and took headache pills. Hubby has done two home tests, which both did not show up positive, so he says. My guess is, that it might be he who has brought more than food from his frequent grocery shopping. If covid strikes the next days, too, bad luck will have hit twice. We´ll see what happens!
Nothing new on the knitting front. It´s like a war against the pattern- do a few rows, unravel half of it, continue soldiering on, da capo... This will take a long time, to get that first jacket finished!
With all the resting I forgot to search for a photo of my mother´s sister aka aunt Elizabeth the Terrible. She not only wore the same name as the late Queen, she even looked like her! I swear that my worst experience of my young days was having to do a ride in the tunnel of horror- not because of the horrors the tunnel held, but because having to sit next to my aunt. I bet that if I had had a look at the backyard, I´d have seen ghosts and skeletons fleeing in panic!
