Cassian has gotten quite shy, since he has returned from his stay in Romania. He also has a lot of problems when talking German now. But his love for gadgets and his knowledge of how to use them is still the same. Today I answered husbands mobile, when he was out in the garden, readying the pool for winter. It was a video call from grandson number four, who wanted grandpa to pick him up and bring him to our house. Immediately, if possible. His mum was flabbergasted when finding her son talking to the grandparents with her mobile. Grandpa is now on the way to get Cassian, because there had been a lot of tears at first, when he told him he was not able to get him. I think the long stay away and the first long week in kindergarten were hard on the little one. There will be tears again, because I am pretty sure he wants an overnight stay, which is impossible, because tonight will be early-shift duty again, and then the house turns into a madhouse. So many early shift daughter has had this summer, yet she always manages to lose some pieces of her uniform in the depths of her room. And Vaire cat does her best to accentuate the steady running up and down with cat arias. Not exactly the surrounding a young boy needs for sleeping through! He will be back tomorrow anyway, because then hubby and number two will put the metal plates to cover the pool for winter. And Cassian has chosen grilled chicken for lunch, which he will pick up with his grandpa at the restaurant, so no cooking to be done for me!
Today I almost got a cold shock, when I left the house at 3:30 this morning. Three degrees, and my winter jacket is still in the wardrobe in the cellar! What´s up with this year´s September? Our heating is already on, because it´s so cold in the mornings! My last hope for this year is a sunny October, because in November and December the position of our house in the shadows of a range of hills always dampens my mood. I can watch the sun going down behind the hills around midday, and will have to live with artificial light for the rest of the day. This does not bode well for my cross stitching project, plus I am far behind with the knitting! I think I will have to fetch more chocolate from the shop, to raise my spirit!
