What was supposed to be a day for rest turned out to be another family meeting. At least I did not have to cook- son did. But with sick Cassian in our house for two days in a row, husband mine as well as I have cought another cold, just after covid had finally left. Getting not enough sleep only adds to the susceptibility for such things. Today I went to sleep at 6 in the morning... Turned out that we mostly get invitations for dinner, when daughter-in-law needs our assistance with her older child, though she is clever enough to let her husband do all the cooking. Cassian won´t be able to attend kindergarten tomorrow, but Flavius has his half-year appointment at the hospital. Of course, that´s a valid reason to ask for help. One does not simply walk into a hospital with two sick children! But I could have done without lunch. Sense of smell has said bye-bye once again!
Daughter reported a hard day at work. Air Serbia has cancelled today´s flight, and the passengers did not take kindly to it. There has been some animosity towards the airport personnel, which is unfair, because it was the airline, which had cancelled the flight. Police had to be called to restore order.
I hope that hubby will be able to fill up the fuel tank of our cars tomorrow. From October on, the first instalment of the CO2- tax will pounce and raise the price for fuels, and, as previously mentioned, it´s only the first step towards unaffordable prices for mobility and heating. If there´ll be fuel and gas enough for us at all. Oil refinery Schwechat still does run only at 20 percent. What a coincidence! Now we have a big, big problem. If we aren´t allowed to bring forth the gas we have (they found a huge gas field in our country, which is not to be extracted), we have no atomic plants, wind power is taboo in some parts of the country, and the EU does not want us to fell trees- how are we supposed to heat our flats and houses? Questions upon questions no one will answer...
