Shopping trip
I did a shopping trip beyond the border, because I needed more wool and kibbles for Vaire. I got the wool I wanted, but no kibbles again in the shelves. I would have called it strange, had the same happened at the beginning of the year. But since our battle-hardened dwarf-terrier started his raid, a lot of companies all around the world play false with their clients. Pretending there´s not enough product available, people throw themselves at goods, in case those miraculously show up again one day, which allows concerns to raise prices even more, and on is the next round of the game!
Today our government has raised taxes on all sorts of fuel, gas and oil, and it fights tooth and nails against the planned cap on prices for it. Today´s daily brought an interesting interview, where our minister of environment, energy and a lot of other things- how come that such an ignorant person made it to such a job- declares that a cap might prompt some countries like Russia to stop all supplies (thought there was no more gas coming from those 馬鹿). Her next sentence was unmasking the true philosophy of the Green Party- prices have to be as high as possible, so that people will have to realise, that there´s no going back in Green policy of economy and that we all will have to cut back. Asians will split their sides laughing while watching, how a whole continent goes tits up! That the new tax will raise prices of fuel, gas, oil and hence all goods is irrelevant for her. That´s the woman who takes only private plane to meetings and requested an aircon for her office, which only cost 149000 Euro- sort of a bargain in a manner of speaking.
Today´s lunch I bought at a restaurant at the shopping centre, and after lunch I did what I usually won´t do- I took a nap. When I woke, I went downstairs for coffee and a crossword puzzle- and promptly had to turn the lights on at two in the afternoon, because I could not even see the letters in it. Yes, it´s raining again, and hard at that, so another day of doom and gloom, just fitting into the crisis scenario. But from Monday on it should get sunnier and warmer until the middle of October. I´ll believe it when I see it!
