Dedicated to knitting

 This day was for knitting only, except for the cooking spree I had to do for lunch, because pork fillet wrapped in bacon, potatoes with rosemary and brussels sprouts with chestnuts needed to be done. Of course, my sense of taste was still AWOL, but daughter volunteered to help with the seasoning. Late lunch was a success, so I was told. At least I was spared from the taste of brussels sprouts. Hubby loves them, me not at all. Afterwards it was knitting again. Cassian´s cardigan is mostly done, but since number three and family will show up at the end of October, which will grant me another hectic Halloween, Elsa´s cardigan has to be finished then, too. I wish myself luck. Currently I am pondering, if the cardigans will indeed need inner lining. If yes, then I have a big, big problem!

This week Cassian will show up for helping me with the Halloween decoration. His job is to bath the dragons (yay, danger of flooding in the bathroom) and put them onto the shelves. And arrange the pumpkins in front of the house. And go into the cellar, to find the wooden witches and ghosts (and some cars hubby has hidden). And put up the lanterns. So before he can do this, I will have to leave the house to buy new spider webs candles. This household suffers from lack in candles. Not good, especially if there´s another blackout. Until now, we only had short ones, but plenty of them, but what if... We won´t carve a pumpkin yet, that´s number three´s job, when he arrives. At the high temperatures we are going to get during the next days, pumpkin would turn into mush within a few days. Besides, the glowing pumpkin is for Halloween night only, no matter how soon Americans are decorating their homes with them. The first vlogs with Halloween decoration showed up at the end of August... Now I wonder, how long it takes before the first Christmas trees will appear on Youtube!
