After a lot of days cooped up at home (covid first then a cold straight from hell) I dared to call my friend. We chatted for more than an hour, and in the end the two of us decided to meet up on Friday for an evening out. Now guess who will deposit her oldest at our house on Friday after kindergarten, for an afternoon spent with grandma and grandpa and a subsequent sleepover? Of course, husband mine did not yet know about what I had planned for Friday. But he, well aware that he´d be off to substiute in his old job in the afternoon, did give Dil the green light anyway. So no evening out for me again! It´s not that I do not want to have the little imp with us and it´s not that big of a problem to stay at home (my friend will gladly show up at our house, so that we can have an old hag party), what I fear is that our grandchild will bring another virus into the house. I do not need more germs at the moment, and Cassian has been sick all over the weekend and will attend kindergarten only tomorrow!
The cardigan straight from hell did its utmost to shatter my nerves again. One would imagine, that after having done one of it already, the second one might turn out easier? Forget about it, it´s still six rows forward, three back. And knitting is worse, when the weather is gloomy, as it has been today. Those tiny lines in different colours can´t be distinguished under artificial light, and increasing and decreasing turns into a gamble- that´s what you get, when all six sizes are squeezed into one too small print! That´s why I discontinued knitting and did a big bathroom cleaning instead. That alone indicates how much I already hate this knitting pattern, because honestly, in all my born days I have not yet met a person who is fond of bathroom cleaning!
Tomorrow hubby and I will do a visit to our newly renovated Lidl shop- it´s Spanish week again! Apropos prices at Lidl- last year we bought two children´s kitchens, one for Elsa regularly at the preis of 49,90 Euro, the same one for Cassian on sale for 39,90 Euro. The same kitchen is advertised this week- 99,90 Euro. Comment is superfluous...
