Oct. 12th, 2022 07:02 pmThere´s more to it than that!
Neighbour, who picked the virus up during her stay in Hungary, was well on Friday but got sick on Saturday. Did a PCR test the same day, tested positive, which means that she was to stay at her house until tomorrow at the best. She might leave for grocrey shopping wearing a mask, but for real freedom she´d need a new test, which would show that she is no more contagious. Buuuut- this test can only be taken at the fifth day after being tested positive, which would be tomorrow, and she´d get her result the day after tomorrow at best. Next buuuut- she was off this morning, to sell her junk at a flea market in Germany. And she does not wear a mask when being out, hubby saw her at the shop today. Covid rules are so not made for people like her! But, of course, those people are always the best spreaders...
Hubby has decided that our freezers need a good clearing out. Since daughter lives at our house no longer, all those goods she had bought in the Asian market jam the drawers hubby intends to fill with bacon for preserving. Today he brought a load of fishcakes and rice cakes from the cellar. Since we also had mandus, I decided to do theokbokki. Only that I took a bit more of gochujang than usual. Hubby had a hard time to eat his lunch, serves him well. I fear that I have to resign to him predeterming our meals for a long time. There´s a lot of things in those drawers he wants to get rid of! At least I was able to keep some theokbokki for daughter mine, who will arrive in the evening for her second last early shift. Yay, almost done!
The quality of Lidl products is dwindling- the quality of vegetables and fruits has gone down the way the prices have climbed up. Husband mine bought salami Milanese only yesterday, expiration date December. I opened it for cold dinner- salami had gone bad already! Unfortunately I noticed the foul smell only after a first lusty bite (my nose still does strange things after the cold out of hell), hence I was up during night thrice, to sacrifice dinner to the god of porcelain. All is good now, but I would have liked to come upon this Lidl shop branding the package of rotten salami- only that husband had disposed of it already!
I wonder if I will be able to finish the knitting project in time. I started with Cassian´s cardigan, which still needs darning in, seaming together and, last but not least, inner lining. Only then I will be able to decide, if I will have to enlarge Elsa´s cardigan the way I did with her sweater. At least the back part and both sleeves are finished, and I have started the left front part... Family number three will be here at the end of October, that´s my deadline...
