Not my fault

 

Yesterday I had to postpone meeting one of my friends in a coffee shop because of stomachache. Stomachache and coffee don´t get along well. We postponed our meeting until today- that was before I lost my makeshift dental crown. Now hot coffee and sweet cake also do not get along well with a crownless tooth. Meeting got postponed again. Tomorrow I will have my next and hopefully last dentist appointment, then tooth should be okay again and meeting can be fixed- unless grandson number two´s cold has passed on to me. Hubby only told me that son number two and his youngest child would come for a visit in the afternoon. He deliberately forgot to tell me, that Xaver had not been in kindergarten, because he was sick. Usually it takes two days, before a cold manifests itself, so the date with my dentist (dentist looks like Matthew McConaughey, so a date would be nice) will be okay. Not so sure about the coffee shop date on Friday, because sniffles and coffee also do not get along well. All I can do is wait and see- and if it comes to the worst, hubby will have to take the brunt of my temper, that´for sure!

Since number one and offspring stayed for the majority of the afternoon, I missed the best time for knitting. Still need to do the collar, even though the most difficult part aka gathering of the stitches is done already. Weatherforecast predicts rain for tomorrow, so not much knitting will be done then, since I cannot work with artificial light.
I have just been depilating facial hair while typing today´s entry- it is so very unfair! When you get older, less hair will grow where it is supposed to grow, whereas it now grows in places it is not supposed to show up! I think I will have to buy an epilator. I so hate to remove remains of wax off my face! The things we do for beauty...
