No quality time with granddad
Oct. 22nd, 2022 04:35 pmCassian was here today- for about half an hour. That´s exactly the amount of time hubby needs for coffee, cake and some news out of his online paper. Cassian wanted to stay longer, but hubby was supposed to pick DiL´s paintings up from a gallery in town, taking Cassian and the new bike he had just bought for his grandson with him, then drive back to number two´s house and help him work outdoors. Only that DiL decided all of a sudden that she´d pick the paintings up herself, but forgot to tell hubby in time. They encountered each other at the gallery, and to say that hubby was miffed is an understatement. Besides, poor number two! Another free Saturday spent with cooking and taking care of his sons, though he´d better take care of the tiles that still need to get laid in front of the new pathway to the house, before winter will show up. Weather is said to be relatively warm until the beginning of November, then temperatures will be too cold for tiling outside. Not that it´s that warm today, but tomorrow is Sunday, when the weather will be considerably better, but no one is allowed to do work that goes with noise then. We live in a strange country...
I need to continue with the sewing together of Elsa´s cardigan, but I feel sort of demotivated. Since daughter will be coming for early dinner tomorrow, I have been looking for one of her favourite Korean recipes instead. No clue where the heck I have saved it! All I know is that there´s pork and rice cakes in it. And cabbage, which I often replace by kimchi. Well, I will take the standard seasoning, and it will turn out tasty but not authentic, doesn´t bother me!
My friend and I had a nice afternoon yesterday and decided, that a shopping trip to Germany would be nice on Monday. I need a lot of groceries that are cheaper beyond the border. My friend has never been to the shopping center I like to visit, so let´s hope everything goes well, and we, indeed, will make it over the border!
